It has been a rather long year, and I’m happy to say that it’s over. 2010 was an intense journey, with many good/pleasant memories and many difficult/painful memories, but in the end all that matter’s is, God is still in control of my life, and forever will be through the countless day’s and trial’s ahead. 2010 has been quite a challenge but also a year out of the 18 years I’ve lived in, of which I have learned from the most, and I have truly grown immensely in ways I can’t even begin to explain. I continue to strive to be just like Him in all that I do, although I am very far from it, I feel I get a little closer each day. I give thanks to all who kept me in their prayers and look forward to what lies ahead for our futures according to God’s perfect and pleasing will. I’m ready for the next year with God by my side, as I feel He is holding my hand tighter than ever.
The verse of the year for me would be this:
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angles nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38,39
For I’ve learned that absolutely Nothing could Ever stand between my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will live the Rest of My Day’s Glorifying His Name Most High, Forever and Ever, Amen. Happy New Year to all, and to all a blessed day and night.
Always and forever,
A frequent thought that people often have is whether God is listening to them, and if He is, can He respond back to us, or can we have an actual conversation with Him.
Today I read a story in Mark 5:21 “A Dead Girl and a Sick Women” which is about a man who asks Jesus to heal his dying daughter and a sick women who reaches out to only touch Jesus’s clothes, both believing that Jesus would heal the little girl from lying in her death bed and that the women would be healed from her illness of constant bleeding and suffering, Which because of their Faith Jesus imminently heals both the dead girl and the sick women.
After I read this story I was reminded how powerful God really is. That we can just touch Him and be healed, or rather we can just speak to him and He will listen and respond to our prayers and heal us.
While reading Mark, It just so happened that I had a headache which only seemed to be getting worse. As I sat on my bed I attempted to block a bright light from hitting my face which made me feel a little better but not quiet all the way. I started to pray to God. The first thing I asked Him was to make my headache go away (thinking that it eventually would but not quite as fast.), as the last word “away” rolled off my tongue, I felt a sudden impulse on my head and within seconds my pain disappeared. I took my arms off my head in sheer amazement, let the bright light hit my face and it was confirmed God healed my headache immediately, just like the little girl who Jesus healed with only words, He told her to get up and she was healed, or the women who touched Jesus’ clothes and was also immediately healed.
“He took her by the hand and said to her, ‘Talitha Koum!’ (which means, ‘Little girl, I say to you, get up!’). Immediately the girl stood up and walked around.” (Mark 5:41-42)
“because she thought ‘If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.’ Immediately her bleeding stopped…” (Mark 5:28)
God does heal, but not only because He has the power to, but because when we have Faith and Believe that He can heal us, He will and end our suffering. God will also answer our prayers and respond in conversations, whether it’s by a simple touch a few words or even through a prayer request. If only we humans get it through our thick heads that it’s as simple as having Faith and Believing in Him.
‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’ (Mark 5:36) says Jesus.
“He said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.’ (Mark 5:34)
Not only did I get a blessing of God healing me physically, but I was also healed mentally knowing that He Is listening to me, to our conversations and prayers with Him, and He does answer them according to His will, if we just take time to hear and not be blind to it. Even if He doesn’t always seem to reveal Himself to us, just have Faith in God and Believe that He’s rightttt by you, because He reallyyy iss, or better yet if you’ve already accepted that Jesus Christ has died on the cross by His amazing Grace to save our sins, He is In your heart, in other words He is in you. (If not id love to chat.) Not because he has to be, but because He WANTS to be. God is listening and responding to you, He is healing, and he is very much alive and watching over you. Just have faith. Believe/Trust in Him. Pray and Read His word daily. God is Always Good and always Listening.
Blessings, Your sister through Christ,
